Classical Greece, Athens & Islands of Mykonos/Santorini in 12 Days with Joss Travel!

DAY 1
Arrive in Athens, Greece. Transfer from airport to hotel of your choice. The rest of the day is free to explore the city and sample its diverse restaurants and nightlife. Overnight Athens.

DAY 2
Morning sightseeing tour of Athens includes visit to the Acropolis and the NEW ACROPOLIS MUSEUM housing masterpieces of the sculpture!  Rest of day at leisure. Overnight Athens. (B)

DAY 3
This morning we depart for Corinth to start our 4-day Classical Tour. Stop at the Corinth Canal. Drive to Epidarus to visit its theater, known for its remarkable acoustics and then on to  Nafplion (short stop). Continue on to Mycenae to visit the beehive tombs and the citadel. Then depart for Olympia through the central Peloponnese area, passing the cities of Tripolis and Megalopolis to arrive in Olympia for dinner and overnight. (B,D)

DAY 4
In the morning visit the ancient home of the Olympic Games and the fascinating Museum. Then drive via Patras and Rion, take the new bridge to Antirion to continue to Delphi through Nafpaktos. Arrive in Delphi in early evening. Dinner, overnight. (B,D)

DAY 5
This morning visit the Archaeological site and the Museum of Delphi.  Walk the Sacred Way, visit the temple of Apollo, the Theater and the Stadium on the mount Parnassus and then on to the NEW Museum housing some masterpieces of the Greek sculpture such as the famous bronze statue of the "Charioteer". Then depart for Kalambaka, via Amfissa and Lamia, driving through Thessaly, one of the richest agricultural areas of the country. Arrive in Kalambaka, a small town at the foot of Meteora for dinner & overnight. (B,D)

DAY 6
After breakfast start the visit of Meteora, a unique in beauty site with its Monasteries hanging on some huge rocks!Your guide will make several stops for photos of this breathtaking site and the rock monasteries which have been characterized by UNESCO as a unique phenomenon of cultural heritage. Visit of two Monasteries and then start the drive back to Athens, via Lamia, with a short stop at the heroic monument of Leonidas at Thermopylae. Arrive in Athens for overnight in early evening. (B)

DAY 7
We will transfer you to the port. High speed ferry to Santorini departing at 7:20am. Arrive in Santorini at 11:45am, transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to explore this unique in beauty island! Overnight Santorini. (B)

DAY 8
Free day at leisure to enjoy the beach and the pool. Or take a morning half day tour to the VOLCANO and Hot Springs! Overnight Santorini.(B)

DAY 9
We will transfer you to the port. High speed ferry to Mykonos departing at noon. Arrive in Mykonos around 2:30pm, transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to explore this charming island! Overnight in Mykonos. (B)

DAY 10
Free day at leisure to enjoy the beach and the pool. Or take a morning half day tour to the island of Delos, sacred island of god Apollo! Overnight Mykonos.(B)

DAY 11
Transfer to port. High speed ferry to Piraeus departing at 11:00am. Arrive in Piraeus at 3:15pm . Transfer to the hotel Overnight Athens.(B)

DAY 12
We will transfer you to the airport. Depart flight. End of our services.(B)
